Adam Evans

Adam Evans is VP, Cyber Operations and Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) for RBC. As CISO, Adam sets RBC’s cyber vision, strategy and program to reduce cyber risks and keep clients, employees, and systems safe. He is responsible for developing cyber solutions that can adapt to the evolving risks of next-generation cyber threats, leveraging machine learning, artificial intelligence, and behavioural analysis to prevent attacks with increased efficiency and speed. Adam leads RBC in managing cyber incidents and implementing incident response and red team exercises to identify and strengthen vulnerabilities and improve RBC’s cyber resilience. With over 20 years of experience in the financial services industry as a security professional, Adam is recognized as a thought leader in cyber security and global defense.

Imran Ahmad
Partner - Blake, Cassels & Graydon LLP
Imran Ahmad is a Partner at Blake, Cassels & Graydon LLP with a specialization in technology, cybersecurity and privacy law. As part of his cybersecurity practice, he works closely with clients to develop and implement practical strategies related to cyber threats and data breaches. He advises on legal risk assessments, compliance, due diligence and risk allocation advice, security, and data breach incident preparedness and response. In addition, Ahmad acts as "breach counsel" in the event of a cybersecurity incident, such as a data or privacy breach. He also provides representation in the event of an investigation, an enforcement action or a litigation. He is the author of Canada's first legal incident preparation and response handbook titled Cybersecurity in Canada: A Guide to Best Practices, Planning, and Management (LexisNexis, August 2017). He advises on licensing, outsourcing and service-provider arrangements, as well as on other commercial matters with respect to carrying on business over the internet, the cloud and the digital environment. In his privacy law practice, he advises clients on compliance with all Canadian federal and provincial privacy and data management laws. He has a particular focus on cross-border data transfer issues and enterprise-wide governance programs related to privacy and information governance

Arif Hameed
CISO and VP, Munich Re New Ventures
Arif Hameed is currently the Vice President & Chief Information Security Officer at Munich Re New Ventures. Prior to joining Munich Re, he had roles in Security Advisory, IT Risk, Vendor Cyber Risk, Client Security Assurance and IT Audit at major Canadian Banks and a global Credit Bureau. He actively volunteers for professional associations including ISACA, Cloud Security Alliance, Evanta, EC-Council and participates in advisory committees for academic programs in Cybersecurity and IT Audit.

Geoff White
Head of Insurance - UK, Corvus Insurance
Pryor-White has over 25 years of experience in the insurance industry, having worked in the U.K. and U.S. for AIG, Travelers, Zurich, Barbican, Tarian and now Corvus Insurance. During his career, he has focused on providing package solutions to customers including property, employers' liability, general liability, technology errors and omissions - tech E&O, and cyber and has vast experience in starting up portfolios and running businesses in a senior management capacity. Pryor-White has worked in the Lloyd's market since 2013, establishing Barbican as one of the largest London-based writers of cyber and tech E&O. He founded Tarian Underwriting Limited in 2016, focusing on cyber and tech E&O for businesses from startups to large multinational companies. Corvus Insurance acquired Tarian Underwriting Limited in January 2022. Pryor-White is a regular speaker and contributor to cybersecurity events and publications.

David Masson

David Masson is Darktrace’s Director of Enterprise Security, and has over two decades of experience working in fast moving security and intelligence environments in the UK, Canada and worldwide. With skills developed in the civilian, military and diplomatic worlds, he has been influential in the efficient and effective resolution of various unique national security issues. David is an operational solutions expert and has a solid reputation across the UK and Canada for delivery tailored to customer needs. Marrying her business, legal, IT and improv backgrounds, she is the CISO of M1 Finance and has built her career helping organizations create strong, actionable and implementable security programs by getting buy-in from the entire company through to the board. She focuses on helping companies enable scaled, thoughtful security, has built corporate security offices from the ground up and has helped develop them into departments of Security as a Service. She likes to find the fun in security enablement to make it more approachable.

Chris Schweigert
Senior Director of Cybersecurity Operations, TrueBlue Inc.
Dr. Chris Schweigert has been in the security space for over 20 years. He was a security professional in the United States Air Force for 12 years before making his move into the private sector. Dr. Schweigert has held several positions and different multi-national companies over the years. During his tenure Dr. Schweigert has built out several Managed Security Operations Centers and is currently the Director of Cloud Security for TrueBlue. Dr. Schweigert also teaches at the graduate school for Northcentral University and University of Maryland University College. One of Dr. Schweigert’s moto’s is “There is no secure bottom line in business, there is just the bottom line.”

Manny Cancel
SVP and CEO, E-ISAC
Cancel became NERC senior vice president and chief executive officer of the Electricity Information Sharing and Analysis Center (E-ISAC) in January 2020. He is responsible for the management and oversight of the E-ISAC and leads security operations and information sharing, threat intelligence and analysis, and stakeholder engagement initiatives designed to protect critical electricity infrastructure in North America. Cancel also serves as the E-ISAC’s key representative to important constituencies, such as the Electricity Subsector Coordinating Council, government partners, and key industry groups and leads the E-ISAC’s strategic planning initiatives. Prior to NERC, he served as Con Edison’s chief information officer, leading all aspects of information technology, including cybersecurity initiatives. Before Con Edison, he held various roles over his 39-year career, including leadership roles in operations, customer service, audit, and information technology.

As chief information officer and vice president of information and technology services at IESO, Foord's responsibilities include being accountable for the company's IT solutions and strategies, leading its enterprisewide cybersecurity management program and ensuring oversight of the Smart Metering Entity. Foord has over 25 years of experience in a wide array of IT disciplines. Most recently, he was vice president of information technology at BGIS, a Brookfield company, and he has held leadership positions at Loblaw Companies Ltd. and EDULINX Canada Corp.

Keri Glitch
VP & CISO, MISO Energy
As vice president and chief information security officer for Midcontinent Independent System Operator, Glitch leads both the security and technology organizations and is responsible for MISO's comprehensive strategy, execution and operations. Previously, she was chief security officer at AVANGRID, where she was responsible for physical security and cybersecurity, threat and incident management and security compliance for all operations. Before that, Glitch was chief information officer for Iberdrola USA, where she managed the strategic and operational aspects of all IT applications, communications and infrastructure across four regulated utility operating companies in Maine and New York.

Clive Brennan

Brennan joined Societe Generale in April 2021 as part of the RISQ OPE CSR team as a senior operational risk officer covering cybersecurity risk. He has more than 20 years of technology experience in the both the financial services and software industries. Prior to Societe Generale, he worked in the first line of defense at BNP Paribas as head of cybersecurity transformation to ensure compliance with NY-DFS and FFIEC/NIST frameworks. As a freelance contractor on Wall Street for 15 years, Brennan specialized in buildout and secure restricted access to data warehousing solutions specializing in front-end business intelligence tools. Before that, he worked at SAP-Business Objects in Silicon Valley, California, where he was head of technical support for the Americas.

Rachel Guinto
AVP, Information Risk Management, Manulife
Guinto is a seasoned information security leader with two decades of experience in the financial services sector. She has held operational, governance and leadership roles at Scotiabank, CIBC and Manulife and was CISO at the Ontario Pension Board. She volunteers on the CIO Strategy Council technical advisory committees, the advisory council of York University’s Cloud Computing Strategy program and the (ISC)2 exam development team and was recently elected to the 2022 (ISC)2 board of directors.

Shakeel Sagarwala

Karen Habercoss
Chief Privacy Officer, U. Chicago Medicine
As the chief privacy officer for The University of Chicago Medicine and Biological Sciences Division, Habercross is responsible for the enterprise multiyear strategy and day-to-day operations of the university's health system privacy program for a workforce of more than 20,000 staff, physicians, faculty, students and volunteers, encompassing an academic medical center, a community health and hospital division, offsite ambulatory clinics, faculty and affiliated physician practices, a medical school, human subjects research and portions of the university supporting healthcare functions. She began her career as a licensed clinical social worker at The University of Chicago Medicine and moved into compliance 10 years ago. Previously, she worked in the Compliance Department at The Joint Commission and as the corporate compliance and quality officer for PRS LLC. Habercross is active with the Association of American Medical Colleges' privacy subsection of the Compliance Officer Forum, is a member of the Chief network exclusive to women executives and sits on several not-for-profit boards. She speaks regularly on topics related to privacy implications of data use and disclosure, effective joint privacy and security strategic initiatives, and privacy enterprise risk management.

Kush Sharma

As the City of Toronto's first Chief Information Security Officer (CISO), Kush Sharma is accountable for setting the City’s information security strategy, governance, risk, compliance and cyber functions, reporting functionally to the City Manager. Kush works collaboratively with the City’s Senior Leadership Team and the City Clerk's Office to mitigate cyber risk. He also works in partnership with the City’s Agencies & Corporations and advises City Council on matters of information security. Kush leads the Office of the CISO, the City's newest division, which was established to oversee Cyber Diplomacy & Governance, Threat Management, Digital Trust, Business Application Resilience, Urban Technology Protection, and Digital Forensics & Investigations. Kush has 20 years of public and private sector experience, and is well respected within the industry. He has a strong reputation as a trusted advisor, known for innovation, partnerships, and service delivery. Kush also has broader leadership experience in various industry sectors, technology, change management, and business transformation. During his prior tenure as a Management Consultant, Kush had a global 50+ client portfolio advising leaders at some of the world’s largest organizations and government entities in developing and maturing their governance, risk and compliance postures. Kush has also supported numerous large and complex transformation programs, mergers and acquisitions, and external sourcing projects. Kush has a Bachelor of Commerce in IT Management and is a certified CISSP/CISM/CISA/CRISC professional.
