Carlos Pero

Carlos Pero currently serves as AVP, Head of Cyber Application Security with Zurich Insurance. Prior to joining Zurich, he was a Product Manager for Rand McNally, responsible for the planning, design and maintenance of several mobile and web applications. Earlier in his career, Pero held the titles of eBusiness Manager for an educational resources company, ETA Hand2Mind, Director, Technical Product Development for Cars.com and other notable entities. Having been entrenched with technology from the Web's infancy, Pero has gained his experience alongside cyber security's evolution.

Shirley Inscoe
Senior Analyst, Aite Group
Inscoe is a senior analyst with Aite Group, covering fraud and data security. She brings to Aite Group 30 years of banking experience in enterprise fraud and payments issues. Inscoe has served as the chair of the BITS Fraud Reduction Steering Committee and the co-chair of Early Warning Services' Advisory Committee, and has been a member of ABA's Deposit Account Fraud and Payment Systems Committees. Formerly, Inscoe was the director of financial services solutions at Memento Inc., where she was responsible for guiding the company's overall strategy and supporting product development, marketing, and sales related to payments risk mitigation. During her tenure with Memento, she worked to expand the firm's product offerings beyond employee fraud to cover check, ACH, and wire fraud. Before that, Inscoe was SVP and director of payments strategy with Wachovia Bank.

Alex Niu

Niu has more than nine years of experience in financial industry serving large banks in the area of risk management using advanced analytics. As the director of Decision Science at American Express, Niu was involved in developing and implementing machine learning based solution for both credit assessment and fraud detection. He also led efforts to build machine learning models for credit line assignment for American Express portfolios. Prior to American Express, Niu served as a consultant to top financial institutions.

Joseph Feiman, PhD, is the Chief Strategy Officer at WhiteHat Security, a leading application security provider. Feiman is responsible for WhiteHat's overarching business strategy and vision, to further its success in empowering secure development and operations. Previously, Feiman worked for Gartner as Research Vice President and Fellow. During his tenure at Gartner, he served as a trusted resource for security executives and professionals across the globe, co-founding the application security market category. Prior to joining WhiteHat Security, Feiman was chief innovation officer at application security vendor Veracode, helping the company to reach its peak.

Rafae Bhatti

Rafae Bhatti currently serves as Head of Security and Privacy at HealthTap, a startup on a mission to deliver healthcare for everyone- at the right time, right place, and right cost. Having been granted three US patents in his career, his experience ranges from working in engineering roles at large companies, to research and advisory roles at audit and consulting firms, to in-house operational roles where he has led the security compliance programs for start ups. He has also published thought leadership in the area of security and privacy in PwC's 10 Minutes, Accenture's Technology Vision, IAPP Canada Symposium, BSides San Francisco, and several IEEE/ACM conferences and publications.

Kate Black
Global Privacy Officer & Senior Counsel, 23andMe
Kate Black currently serves as Privacy Officer and Corporate Counsel. Black brings a strong background in international, federal, and state privacy laws as well as health care regulations. As a member of the legal and regulatory team, she is responsible for overseeing, updating and enhancing the company's privacy and consent policies for customers in the U.S. and abroad. Prior to joining 23andMe, Black worked for the Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology of the United States Department of Health and Human Services in Washington, DC. As a federal regulatory and interoperability policy analyst there, she was responsible for drafting, analyzing, and advising on federal health IT regulations and privacy and security requirements under the Health Information Technology for Economic and Clinical Health Act (HITECH) and Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA). Black has also served as health privacy counsel for the Center for Democracy and Technology in San Francisco, CA, where she advocated for consumer civil liberties and advised state agencies and others on health IT and privacy laws. Earlier in her career, she worked on health technology policy initiatives at the Office of Science and Technology at the White House as well as serving as a pro bono researcher for The World Health Organization.

Kori Kelley Meehan is Senior Privacy Counsel at Google where she advises the company on global privacy matters. She is the company wide subject matter expert on health information privacy for Google's products and services and she is the Privacy Legal lead for Google's affiliated entities formed under Alphabet. Meehan joined Google in 2011 after clerking for the Honorable Inez Smith Reid at the District of Columbia Court of Appeals and working as a litigation associate in the Washington, DC office of Morrison & Foerster.

Asaf Cidon is the Vice President, Content Security Services at Barracuda Networks, where he co-leads the development of Barracuda Sentinel, the first product that provides comprehensive protection from spear phishing and communication fraud. Asaf completed his PhD at Stanford University, where his research focused on cloud storage and reliability, and was adopted by companies such as Facebook, Tibco, and NetApp. He previously founded and was the CEO of Sookasa, which was acquired by Barracuda Networks in 2016. He also worked as software engineer at Google. He is the recipient of SC Media's 2017 Rising Star Award and the Stanford Graduate Fellowship.
