Amit Sharma is additional director in the office of the scientific advisor of the defence minister, at the Defence Research and Development Organization (D.R.D.O), Ministry of Defence, Government of India. Sharma is part of various inter-ministerial committees related to information security, and was invited to be a peer reviewer by NATO CCDCOE for Tallinn Manual. He has delivered a number of talks on cyber warfare, cyber security and national security issues, at various forums such the NATO Centre of excellence at Tallinn, Estonia; Cyber security summit organised by Royal United Services Institute at London; "Scientific issues in countering terrorism" conference at Moscow; cyber deterrence issues at Garmisch Germany; IDGA Cyber Summit at Washington DC; Center for Land Warfare Studies CLAWS, National Maritime Foundation NMF and recently at S&T Conference organized by US Pacific Command.
