SVP Chief Risk Officer, Fidelity Bank of Florida

Murphy started his banking career in 1973 at Southeast Bank N.A.. After 12 years with Southeast Bank N.A. he left to become one of the founding officers of United American bank where he was the SVP in charge of the Maitland Office and the Deposit Operations for the bank. After spending 10 years with United American Bank he left and went to work for First National bank of Central Florida. Having spent 13 years with First National Bank of Central Florida and turning around the Deposit Operations into a well run department that received excellent audit ratings from both the banks external auditors and the OCC. During the last 6 years he was at the bank the IT Department/AML/BSA received excellent ratings from the OCC. In 2012 Murphy accepted a position with Fidelity Bank of Florida N.A. where he is currently the SVP with responsibility for Deposit Operations, IT, Security, Information Security, Bank Secrecy Act and Enterprise Risk Management. While at the bank Bill has become a certified BSA Officer and also recently completed training to be a Intelligence Liaison Officer with the Central Florida Fusion Center.
