Andy Bates

Andy Bates joined the Global Cyber Alliance (GCA) in September 2017 as its Executive Director for the United Kingdom, Europe, Middle East and Africa. He brings more than 25 years of experience to GCA, having served as a Chief Engineer, Business Development Consultant, Product Development Director, IT Director in Racal, Cable & Wireless and Level3. Bates most recently served as the CTO at Verizon EMEA. While working across a range of technologies such as network, cloud, mobile, VOIP & identity, he has tended to specialize in large secure solutions for governments and challenging the status quo and conventional wisdom of security. He was deeply involved with systems such as Government Secure Intranet, PSN, Police National Network, as well as working with all the major UK government departments and international government customers and agencies, including NATO. Gord Jamieson
Senior Director of Canada Risk Services, Visa
Gord Jamieson is a Senior Business Leader at Visa and serves as the head of Canada Risk. His goal is to differentiate Visa from competition, reduce risks of regulatory impact and support core growth by engaging Canadian clients to minimize payment system risks. Having been with Visa for 17 years, he has always been in the Risk function. Prior to joining Visa, Jamieson served as a member of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police for 20 years. Johnathan Nicholson

I am a Cybersecurity and Software Engineering leader with close to 19 years of international experience. I am extremely passionate about Security Engineering, DevOps, DevSecOps and all things Agile. I enjoy volunteering my time and skills to Start-ups and collaborating with highly motivated people. I have successfully built and lead high performing security, development and engineering teams through my time at Barclays Africa and Interac. Building and enabling Cybersecurity capabilities, engineering, operating and testing platforms within Digital for Barclays Africa and creating their Mobile development capability from the ground up. Delivering in cross-functional Product teams of more than 100 team members, utilizing DevOps and Agile methodologies. As the CISO for Interac I helped create and form their cybersecurity capabilities, around operations, engineering and governance. I helped drive the creation of their first platform engineering team and in adopting Agile engineering practices across security and technology to drive collaborative ways of working.

Eric Bucher

Eric Bucher has over 15 years of experience in the security industry with a technical concentration in financial fraud, advanced persistent threats, forensics, exfiltration, DLP, and overall attack surfaces. His current career has taken him into the realm of bot construction and different attack modalities currently conducted through machine automation. Kenrick Bagnall
Detective Constable - Computer Cyber Crime (C3) Intelligence Services, Toronto Police Service
Prior to joining the Toronto Police Service, Bagnall spent 20 years working in the IT industry, primarily within financial services. During that time, he spent more than 12 years working in Bermuda as a senior network analyst for the Bank of Butterfield, then became an IT manager for Flag Telecom. From there, Bagnall was named senior vice president of IT for Capital G Bank (Now Clarien Bank) before returning to Canada in 2005. He has been a member of the Toronto Police Service since April 2006 and has worked in primary response, community response, criminal investigations and divisional fraud Investigations. In February 2015, Bagnall joined the computer cybercrime section of intelligence services, where he currently is a cybercrime investigator.

Gary Sockrider

Imran Ahmad is a Partner at Blake, Cassels & Graydon LLP with a specialization in technology, cybersecurity and privacy law. As part of his cybersecurity practice, he works closely with clients to develop and implement practical strategies related to cyber threats and data breaches. Ryan Duquette

Ryan Duquette is a seasoned digital forensic investigator with many years of experience in law enforcement and the private sector. He founded Hexigent Consulting, a firm focusing on digital investigations, cyber security consulting services and litigation support. Duquette works closely with clients involved in workplace investigations and civil litigation matters including intellectual property theft, HR investigations and data breaches. During his days in Law Enforcement, he conducted digital investigations on a variety of criminal cases including homicides, child pornography, fraud, missing persons, and sexual assault cases. Brett Johnson
Former Most Wanted and "The Original Internet Godfather"
Former United States Most Wanted, Brett Johnson, referred to by the United States Secret Service as "The Original Internet Godfather" has been a central figure in the cybercrime world for over 20 years. He built and was leader of ShadowCrew, the precursor to today's darknet markets. He was instrumental in developing many areas of online fraud while helping design, implement, and refine modern Identity Theft, Account Take Over Fraud, Card Not Present Fraud, IRS Tax Fraud, and countless other social engineering attacks, breaches, and hacking operations. Upon his capture, the United States Secret Service hired Johnson to work as a consultant and informant. Johnson worked with the Secret Service for several months before going on a cross country crime spree, being placed on the US Most Wanted List, being captured again, sent to prison, escaping prison, being captured yet again, and finally accepting responsibility for his actions. Today, Johnson works as a security consultant and public speaker. He is one of the world's foremost authorities on cybercrime and identity theft. During 2017, He has been featured in the book, "Kingpin" by Kevin Poulsen and on numerous media outlets, including the New York Times, NBC, CNN Money, Wired Magazine, Vice, RT TV, ArsTechnica, The Independent, and more.
