Grant is a managing director at Venable, where he works with the firm's clientele to develop growth strategies, identify market solutions and advise on policy impacts across the information technology and cybersecurity and government services. In this role, Grant utilizes his diverse background and deep understanding of business, technical and policy issues around identity, privacy and cybersecurity, having served in a range of leadership positions spanning government and industry. Prior to joining Venable, Grant established and led the National Program Office for the National Strategy for Trusted Identities in Cyberspace (NSTIC), the first new cybersecurity program launched by the Obama administration. Housed in the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), Grant led the administration's activities across private and public sectors to drive a marketplace of more secure, privacy-enhancing identity solutions for online services.

Patty Ryan

Patty Ryan serves as the Sr. Director, Chief Information Security Officer of Ortho Clinical Diagnostics. Patty started at Ortho Clinical Diagnostics in April of 2018. Although Patty Ryan did not begin her career in security, in 2004 she was working at a financial services firm in the project management office and the CIO offered her the CISO role. With limited knowledge about security, she was required to leverage her problem-solving skills and strong business intelligence to lead a team of twenty security professionals. Since then, Ryan has held a number of different roles in security, working in finance, legal, and healthcare organizations.

Kent is well versed in physical and cybersecurity security infrastructure and strategy, and is asked to speak regularly on the convergence between physical and logical (network) security. Kent has spoken at leading industry events, such as IBM Interconnect, RSA, Interop, InfoSec, BICSI, ISC, Infragard, ISACA, The Conference Board, Harvard University, Yale University, etc. He has been a featured guest on television (BBC, RAI, ABC News, Silicon Spin...), radio, and in magazines (Computer World, Business News, New York Times, Wired, etc) to name a few. Kent received a Bachelors Degree in Business Management/Marketing, Summa Cum Laude, from American Intercontinental University. He has been a penetration tester for the public and private sector, and uses this unique view of security to help others better understand the taxonomy of an attack and the strategies to prevent these attacks and the associated damage from them.

Arun DeSouza is currently chief information security and privacy officer at Nexteer Automotive Corp. He has extensive global IT and security leadership and organizational transformation experience, including as a CISO and CIO, and his areas of expertise include strategic planning, risk management, identity management, cloud computing and privacy. His current interests include the internet of things, blockchain, zero trust, software-Defined perimeter and self-sovereign identity. The 1st Global Cyber Observatory inducted DeSouza into the CISO Hall of Fame in September 2019. He has won multiple other industry honors and is a member of the Society for Information Management and the International Association of Privacy Professionals.

He once went 3 days without seeing another human (lots of reindeer, though) and was kicked off a train in Sweden.
