Healthcare information is a prime target for malicious attackers because it has a high value on the black market, says Amanda Rogerson of Duo Security, who calls for adoption of a “zero trust” model to boost security.

”Healthcare records contain all of the elements of your identity; they contain any health history, but they also contain your financial records,” he notes.

In a video interview at Information Security Media Group's recent Healthcare Security Summit in New York, Rogerson discusses:

  • Why healthcare data is still such a target for cybercriminals;
  • How security professionals should protect healthcare data;
  • Adopting a “zero trust” policy.

Rogerson is lead healthcare product manager at Duo Security, where she focuses on trusted access. She has more than two decades of experience working in technology, with the last five years focused on access management and authentication.
